Murky Circuits "Fates" will be available on June
Fates are American composer Django Voris, Swiss electronic artist Moritz Wettstein, and British-born producer PJ Norman. The three met in New York City in early 2009 where their shared passion for electronic experimentation led to a series of recording sessions at Harvestworks, the foundation co-founded by Bob Moog to support experimental music. “The recording process was really the key to the sound,” says Voris, “ We would set up three laptops with as many devices as we could connect to them.”
Circus Joy "Laetitia" on Old Europa Cafe
Italian cult band in which play 2 former members of AIN SOPH as well as other well known musicians of the Roman underground. At the time of the last release by Circus Joy “Improvvisa Azione Paganini", noise was turned into pleasure and sex; in their new work, "Laetitia", there is no pleasure in noise without sorrow , and sorrow takes over... this CD is not only a sonic tribute to Pop-Art, as its cover clearly shows, or to the noise-psychedelic rock of Velvet Underground (one of the most influential bands for Circus Joy): it's a tribute to the recent and tragic departure of their friend and poet/singer, Letizia.
Alexei Borisov & Olga Nosova "Istanbul Kebap"
The duo with Olga Nosova (drummer mostly known for her work with avantgardish noise-punk band Motherfathers) is one of the latest project of electronics veteran Alexei Borisov, and noticeably very fast-developing - their mind-boggling and abstract (though surprisingly groovy) music is already highly acclaimed among the music lovers not only in Russia, but around the world! The collaborative project was formed in April 2009 in Moscow.
Beautiful comedy of everyday life - Rabid Kangaroo
Portal side of Industrial Culture is giving me wonderful opportunities to meet whole range of beautiful world. Dig in deep artistic spaces of different streams and genres. When I received information about profile of American project named Rapid Kangaroo, I started to think what music can hide behind name of so peaceful animal, even when it would be rabid. Main influence of Rabid Kangaroo is the beautiful comedy of everyday life. Musically, based in Palm Springs/San Francisco, California, projects touches experimental music, based on field recording.
The Psychogeographical Commission
Psychogeography was defined in 1955 by Guy Debord as the "the study of the precise laws and specific effects of the geographical environment, consciously organized or not, on the emotions and behaviour of individuals." A more straightforward definition is "a slightly stuffy term that's been applied to a whole toy box full of playful, inventive strategies for exploring cities. Psychogeography includes just about anything that takes pedestrians off their predictable paths and jolts them into a new awareness of the urban landscape.
